Electronic
Practice Chanter in Black. This
is a technochanter as a complement to a normal practice chanter, for
people who for some reason need to be able to practice silently. You can
get a lot of extra fingering practice if you commute for instance.
It does attract attention and start conversations on planes
and trains. |

Technopipe. This pipe chanter has the following features:
- Pitch: the chanter is tuned in the same key as the GHB. The low A
goes from 185Hz up to 738Hz in steps of 0.1-0.7Hz, with 466Hz as start
pitch. Low A can easily be set to 440Hz.
- Metronome: easy to start in desired tempo.
- Drones: volume relative to chanter. A baryton drone in E or D can
sound, either alone or along with the tenor and bass drone.
- Sound: Great Highland pipes or Smallpipes sound.
- Volume: affects chanter, drones, and metronome.
- Recording: more than 500 notes can be recorded. During playback, the
recorded notes are sounding on the right channel, and you can play along
on the left. The playback speed can be set between ¼ and 2 times the
recorded speed.

Practice Pipes are a complete set of pipes that retail at a fraction of the
price of conventional bagpipes, however maintaining a high quality of sound.
The set includes the Bag, Drones, Blowstick, Chanter, Bag Cover, Chanter
Reed, Drone Reeds and Carry Bag. Perfect for long practice sessions in
the house even at night. The set includes two brass drones (one bass
drone, one tenor drone). As a smaller quieter set, it requires less
"puff" to play, thus it has proved to be very popular with younger or
beginner players. This set plays in the same pitch as highland
bagpipes, which is just above the key of Bb. |
